Hyundai: A Better Way
The Challenge
Hyundai Motor Company wanted to go beyond their classic advertising commercials and find a new, authentic way to educate their audiences about the future of mobility. We teamed up with Discovery to create a piece that would showcase Hyundai’s innovations, position them as a sustainability leader and drive audiences towards their vision for a better future. With different case studies and contributors all over the world, we needed a creative way to tie it all together in a documentary short series. All with the added challenge of shooting and producing in the height of the pandemic.
The Approach
We teamed up with Swiss pioneer and Hyundai ambassador Bertrand Piccard. Having spent his life pushing boundaries and exploring clean mobility, he was the perfect person to investigate Hyundai’s vision of ecomobility. From Lake Geneva to the streets of Monte Carlo, the series follows Bertrand as he experiences first-hand the technology that’s transforming mobility. Having developed our ideas before travel restrictions were implemented, we had to adapt and find creative solutions to pull off a full-scale, international shoot remotely. This meant working closely with local crews, bringing them into every creative discussion and trusting them to bring the vision to life.
The Results
A thrilling three-part documentary series telling the expansive story of Bertrand’s lifelong commitment to ecomobility, brought to life through the lens of Hyundai and the tangible solutions their innovation has brought about. Distributed worldwide online and broadcasted to over seven global territories on Discovery and Eurosport channels.
